Tesla Y and Model 3 Paused

After the July 4 holiday, Tesla Inc. investors have much to evaluate.

A poor quarter of deliveries, a record month of output, and now several plant shutdowns.

Tesla will pause Model Y manufacturing  for two weeks in July, then the Model 3 plant for 20 days starting July 18.

Upgrades to the factory will improve production of both cars by early August.

TeslaMag reports that the automaker's Berlin facility will close July 11.

Tesla plans to slightly increase production in August.

During at least one week last month, 1,000 Model Ys were assembled at the plant.

Tesla's July 2 production and delivery statement didn't mention these plans.

The carmaker delivered an encouraging line while announcing 254,695 deliveries for the quarter, shy of experts' projections.
