2023 Toyota Highlander Price, Release Date

The Highlander has a lot to offer, but it only ranks in the middle of the pack in the fiercely competitive mid-size SUV sector, which includes more than twenty vehicles.

In place of the Highlander's regular V-6 for 2023 is a new 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine.

The new engine has a power output of 265 hp and a torque output of 309 lb-ft.

Toyota says the combined 24 mpg is the same as the old V-6, making us wonder why the switch was made.

There is a new infotainment screen that is 12.3 inches, and the Limited and Platinum trims now come with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

The XLE and XSE trims also get a power-operated rear liftgate that can be opened and closed without using your hands.

The base price for the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid will be around $40,000.

As is typical for Toyota, the Highlander comes with a set of features that help the driver.

Toyota's warranty coverage is standard for the segment, but buyers get two years of free maintenance checks.
