Subaru must be happy with how well sales went in June. The automaker sold 43,175 cars in June, which is 0.7% more than in June 2021. (42,877). Even though the increase is small, it is the first time in the past year that US Subaru sales have gone up. Most automakers reported double-digit sales reductions in June, but not Subaru.

In June, 10,675 subcompact SUVs were sold under the name “Subaru Crosstrek.” This is a good sign for the 2022 model. Compared to sales in June 2021, this is a huge increase of 66.4% (6,415). With 70,050 units sold in the first six months, the Crosstrek is the second best-selling all-wheel-drive model for Subaru. So far, sales of the Crosstrek are up 9.1% in 2022, making it one of the few models with growth.
The updated 2022 Subaru Forester is the third car in the Subaru lineup, and it still comes in last. In June, 7,953 compact SUVs were sold, which is 9.8 percent less than in June 2021, when 8,813 models were sold. In the first half of 2022, 50,937 Forester SUVs were sold, which is 46.9% less than the same time period in 2021.
For the fourth month in a row, sales of the 2022 Subaru Ascent grew by 7.9% in June, when 5,603 3-row SUVs were sold instead of 5,192 in the same month the year before. So far, the rise is up 9.0 percent from the same time last year. In the first six months of 2022, 30,931 3-row SUVs were sold to households.
Compared to June 2021, sales of the 2022 Subaru Impreza compact sedan and hatchback went up by 28.2%. The 2022 Legacy sedan sold 2,026 units, which is a drop of 1.2% from June 2021, when 2,051 units were sold.
The WRX and BRZ were part of Subaru’s performance lineup. The number of customers who bought the next-generation 2022 Subaru WRX dropped by 37.8 percent, from 2,354 in June 2021 to 1,465. The brand-new 2022 BRZ Sport Coupe sold 193 units, while only one model was sold in June 2021.
Subaru of America is making progress with the 2022 Subaru Outback midsize SUV, the outdoor-themed Outback Wilderness trim level, the hot 2022 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV, and the Ascent 3-row family holler. He helped Subaru sales go up for the first time in a year.
