Saying goodbye to such an important character might seem impossible – that’s why a British racing team decided to pay tribute to him by dressing their GSX-R1000s in a livery celebrating HM’s reign.

True Heroes Racing Team was founded by a Royal Navy Warrant Officer named Phil Spencer, who describes the reason for the tribute thus:

“The Queen was our patron and she has served in the armed forces, so when news of her passing broke we thought it was right for us as fellow British servicemen and veterans to do something about it. honor him.”

“As the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship only had one race at Snetterton BSB on Sunday afternoon, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to get the fairings working after unveiling them to the public on Sunday to be admired before the race itself.”

The design was allegedly developed and slapped on the bike (at impressive speed) by Sublime Designs, and shows “The Queen’s portrait, the EIIR, the Union Flag and the dates of her birth and death.”
