60 years ago, in 1962, Ducati blessed the motorcycle industry with the Scrambler, then a single-cylinder retro piece capable enough of 250cc of ponypower.
The Ducati Scrambler was then produced from 1962 to 1975, after which the model was only relaunched in 2015.
Today, Ducati not only celebrates 60 years of “scrambled” success, but also just broke the 100,000 unit mark for Scrambler sales.
Congratulations to the Bologna-based bike manufacturer!
“Ducati offered many different interpretations from 2015, including the first Ducati Icon Scrambler in Urban Enduro, Full Throttle, Street Classic and Classic versions (including the Mach 2.0, Italia Independent Limited Edition, Flat Track PRO , Café Racer, Desert Sled, Sixty2 and Icon Dark were later added)”, indicates the ratio of Ducati Scrambler.
“Completing the Land of Joy family is the latest and most contemporary 1100 Tribute PRO, Urban Motard and Nightshift, which represent a true concentrate of appeal and style.”
To further celebrate the 60th anniversary, Ducati has teamed up with Carrera Eyewear to produce a 60-piece “Carrera X Scrambler Ducati” collection.
