Ferrari introduces the Roma as Spider
Ferrari unveiled the Roma Spider in Morocco. It is the brand’s first front-engine model with a soft top in 54 years. The soft top can also be opened while driving at speeds of up to 60 km/h and disappears into an extra compartment. A newly developed and patented wind deflector is integrated into the backrest of the small rear seat bench, which can be extended at the touch of a button in the center tunnel.
The 84-kilogram heavier convertible takes over the 3.9-liter V8 engine with 620 hp (456 kW) and eight-speed dual-clutch transmission from the coupé. At 255 liters, the trunk volume is not significantly smaller, but the price should be well above the approximately 200,000 euros for the Roma with a fixed roof. (awm)
