Deutz more than doubles profit

The engine manufacturer Deutz increased its sales by 20.8 percent to 1.95 billion euros last year. The profit more than doubled to 80.2 million euros. The group sold a total of 234,682 engines. This corresponds to a sales increase of 16.6 percent. These included 53,414 electric boat drives from the Torqeedo subsidiary. That is a third more than in the previous year. Deutz’s service business also developed positively. A scrip dividend of 15 cents will be proposed to the Annual General Meeting. (awm)
