California Dreaming at Porsche – Auto-Medienportal.Net
After the opening campaign “Driven by Dreams”, the Porsche brand store in the Dorotheen district of Stuttgart has been completely renovated until the beginning of June under the motto “California Dreaming”. A 356 Speedster with a surfboard serves as an eye-catcher as a homage to the US state. Next to it is a Porsche 914 from 1975.
“The new motto is a homage to the Californian lifestyle, which has had a major impact on the Porsche brand,” says Bastian Schramm, Head of Marketing at Porsche Germany. “Visitors should experience the lifestyle of the Sunshine State in the middle of downtown Stuttgart and the special connection that Porsche has with California.” The large shop window was designed by the Californian artist Ornamental Conifer. The interior is based on the famous “Eames House” in Los Angeles, and limited signature pieces are reminiscent of the lifestyle of the West Coast.
Vegan chocolates and cold-pressed juices also await visitors, in keeping with the health-conscious Californian way of life. In the “Fitting Lounge”, the desired vehicle can be configured and pre-ordered directly with the help of virtual reality applications. A live chat enables direct contact with the dealer and online reservation of available stock and used vehicles. Models from the brand are also available in the underground car park for on-site advice.
Regular events are an essential element of the store concept. Since October 2022, 35 events with a total of almost 1000 guests have taken place here. Among the talk guests were actor Michael Fassbender, entrepreneur and model Sara Nuru, head of Porsche Style Michael Mauer and rally legend Walter Röhrl.
The brand store is also a “Porsche Drive Rental” location. Vehicles can be rented for a period of 1 to 28 days. The booking can be made entirely online. The vehicle handover itself takes place in the Brand Store.
At the same time as the opening of the brand store, the podcast “Dreamers. On. Air.” was launched. Host Steven Gätjen talks to “dreamers” like Klaas Heufer-Umlauf and Fatih Akin about how to fulfill their dreams. The second season starts in April with new guests and the stories behind their dreams. Among others, TV presenter Linda Zervakis will be there. (awm)
