Cadillac Reveals Design Concepts Of The Celestiq Electric Vehicle

The production version of the luxurious electric hatchback is expected to arrive in 2025 with a price tag in the six-figure range. The concept car version of the vehicle will make its debut first.

On Wednesday, Cadillac revealed a few teaser images of the concept version of the upcoming Celestiq electric luxury sedan. The production version of the Celestiq will be released later this year.

The “show car” that Cadillac refers to as the Celestiq is depicted in the images with its wheels, taillights, and, more surprisingly, its door hinges. It is likely that a comprehensive reveal of this concept version will take place later on in this year.

It is anticipated that the Cadillac Celestiq will be a large fastback sedan that will operate as the brand’s true flagship vehicle. It will be of the highest quality and only available to a select few, as Cadillac plans to hand-build each vehicle at a rate of 1.2 per day.

According to a previous teaser that was released during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2021, we are aware that the top of the high-tech Celestiq will be comprised of four panels of glass. It is constructed out of suspended-particle-device smart glass, which gives the driver and passengers the ability to customise the amount of transparency for themselves. That means that one person can choose to have a setting that is opaque while others are able to bask in the sunlight.

In addition, Cadillac has dropped hints about a display screen that will span the entirety of the dashboard, in addition to screens located between the first and second rows that will provide each passenger with their own individualised space. In addition, Cadillac has stated that the Celestiq will be equipped with all-wheel drive as well as all-wheel steering. It will use the Ultium modular battery system and component set, just like General Motors’ other recently released electric vehicles (EVs).

The Cadillac Celestiq will not be available for purchase until some point after the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV, whose manufacturing just recently began. The Lyriq will debut with 340 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, along with an estimated range of 312 miles and a base price of $62,990. After that, in the calendar year 2023, there will be an all-wheel drive version released that will have at least 500 horsepower.

Cadillac is working to generate excitement for its upcoming electric flagship model, which will be called the Celestiq and will be a four-door luxury hatchback. It will carry a price tag in the six-figure range and will feature an advanced cabin. The most recent teaser images reveal some intriguing details about the concept-car version of the upcoming model that is scheduled to go on sale in 2025. These details include the model’s large wheels, intricate taillights, and even some easter eggs.
