Kia dealers are surely getting antsy in anticipation of the arrival of the brand-new 2023 Kia Telluride. The new 2023 Kia Telluride will be available at dealerships this autumn with a new exterior design, new interior features, new off-road and performance package options, and a significant increase in the number of technological systems. What’s not to adore about it? Both the Telluride and its competitor, the Hyundai Palisade, are three-row sport utility vehicles (SUVs) that have won a number of awards from members of the automotive press and offer a great deal of value for their starting prices of $35,000. However, new versions are on the way, and they will come equipped with a number of significant improvements.

What’s New with the 2023 Kia Telluride?

The 2023 Kia Telluride will receive significant exterior revisions for the 2023 model year. The motor that produces 291 horsepower will be maintained, but practically everything else has been updated. The exterior of the new SUV has been updated with new headlights, bumpers, taillights, wheels, and doors. Additionally, it has new headlights. Inside, it will still have the capacity to accommodate eight people, but the screens, dashboard, steering wheel, and option packages will all be modernized. It will get a new front-end styling as well as a new rear-end styling, both of which should help it stand out more.

Since its introduction three years ago, the 2023 Kia Telluride has rapidly established itself as one of the brand’s most popular vehicles. In its first year on the market, the 2020 Telluride took home a number of prestigious prizes, including the title of World Car of the Year and Motor Trend’s SUV of the Year. It received the highest possible rating from J.D. Power in 2022 in the category of Upper Midsize SUVs. The Telluride is ranked higher than any other comparable midsize three-row SUV and comes highly recommended by Consumer Reports.

Every Kia Telluride comes equipped with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that is naturally aspirated and produces 291 horsepower along with 262 pound-feet of torque. The front wheels are driven by an eight-speed automatic transmission, which comes as standard; an all-wheel drive is an available option across the board. The vehicle’s engine is paired with the transmission. The fastest Telluride SX model that we tested could reach 60 miles per hour in 7.1 seconds.

The large Kia, on the other hand, did not appear to be as responsive to inputs made to the throttle when traveling at lower speeds in comparison to some of its turbocharged competitors. The ride quality of the Telluride can be described as being on the firm side, and the three-row SUV can be occasionally thrown off its planned path by rough pavement. A rear air suspension that can automatically level itself is also an option. Both the brakes and the steering are very precise, and the steering has a satisfying amount of weight to it. The Telluride has a ground clearance of 8.0 inches, making it ideal for off-road adventures, and it has a maximum towing capacity of 5500 pounds.

2023 Kia Telluride Interior

It doesn’t matter what people think about Telluride’s daring outside aspect because the interior is indisputable evidence of upmarket design and cozy comfort. The build quality is outstanding, the materials used are appealing, and there is an abundance of functionality that customers want. The SX trim has the most luxurious features available, including a memory setting for the driver’s seat, a head-up display, heated and ventilated back seats, a premium headliner, and Nappa leather upholstery.

It is the most expensive of the available trim levels. Because it is longer than the seven-seater Kia Sorento by several inches, the Telluride’s cabin provides an even greater sense of space, particularly for passengers seated in the Wayback seat. There is seating for up to eight passengers if the second row is configured with a bench seat, and there is seating for up to seven passengers if the captain’s seats are added. We were able to put a total of 35 carry-on bags into the cabin when both of the rear rows were pulled down, in addition to the substantial storage space available throughout the cabin. The third row of seats was able to accommodate four carry-on suitcases.
