2022 Nissan Leaf – Price, Range and Review

The 2022 Nissan Leaf looks the same as the LEAF. It is a five-door hatchback battery electric vehicle (BEV) with a smaller size. In December 2010, it was shown in Japan and the United States.

Nissan Leaf has won a number of awards and honors. It won the 2010 Green Car Vision Award, the 2011 European Car of the Year, the 2011 World Car of the Year, and the 2011-2012 Car of the Year Japan.

What’s New in the 2022 Nissan Leaf?

This year, Nissan made the CHAdeMO fast-charging port standard on all Leaf models. It also added the ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode to the SV Plus trim. The big news, though, is that the Leaf’s price has gone down a lot.

2022 Nissan Leaf Interior and Exterior

The Leaf’s inside is more open than you might think from the outside, and the back seats are big enough for adults. Its strength is that it has a lot of space for cargo, which gets it an extra point and a 6 here.

This isn’t a luxury electric car, but the Leaf is quiet both in the city and on the highway, where noise from the outside can sometimes be too much to handle in other electric cars.

Inside, the materials are better than what you’ll find in Nissan’s other small cars of this size, but most of the surfaces are dull.

The Leaf’s last update gave it new front seats with better support and padding, but they still need help at the shoulder level. The steering wheel of the Leaf doesn’t change to fit drivers of different heights, which is something taller drivers may also notice.

2022 Nissan Leaf Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The front wheels of the basic 2022 Nissan Leaf are powered by an electric engine with 147 torque and a 40 kWh battery pack. Leaf Plus models have a more powerful electric engine with 214 hp and a bigger battery with 62.0 kWh.

At our test track, it took the first car 7.4 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph, but it feels faster than this number suggests because the electric engine moves power quickly. Because of this, it moves slower than both the Bolt EV and the Model 3.

If we move up to the more impressive Plus models, we might see a faster speed boost, but we won’t know for sure until we test them.

The e-Pedal feature of the 2022 Nissan Leaf lets the driver switch between two regenerative slowing down modes. One mode lets the car drift when the driver lets off the gas, while the other slows the car down when the driver lets off the gas and uses that energy to recharge the battery.

2022 Nissan Leaf Price

The base 2022 Nissan Leaf Leaf S, which costs $28,375, has an 8.0-inch touchscreen that works like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it can also charge quickly with DC power. We recommend the $36,375 2022 Nissan Leaf Leaf SV Plus, which has a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, and a lot more comfort features. It also has a much longer range.
